Sherwin Williams sells a prep solution to remove grease and grime. Once done, remove doors and hardware. Paint the cabinets with two coats of chalk paint. It dries fairly quickly. Use a sanding block to rub on areas you want to look old, used or rustic. Once you have it the way you want,use polycrylic to seal it....or give it a thorough waxing with but her’s wax. The wax is my preference!
