Find a tile on sale and starting at the floor wall area behind the woodstove, apply it with liquid nails and the following day grout it. Trim it out with a coordinating strip tile you have pulled off the mesh back and from your tile with it. Find a sheet of it where all the tile is the same width.
Good Luck!
Put up a concrete backerboard. From there you can tile the wall if you want.
According to the Universal Building Code, you need to have an air space between the wall and whatever tile you are putting up. You live in trailer and they are notoriously not fire safe, so please, do not take short cuts. You can make sheet rock strips to put on the wall, then hang the wall board or other backing for the tile. Remember, your wood stove needs to be X number of inches from the wall according to code, and there are wood stoves made specifically for trailers. Please, be safe!
