Yes, lightly sand or scruff up the surface and wipe clean. The light sanding will give a longer lasting finish. For an even longer lasting finish, finish your project with a gel coat poly. If you are wanting to apply a dark wax over chalk, add after the poly is dry.

Laminate is very smooth and slick. Give the dresser a good sanding so the paint has something to hold on to. It won't take long if you have an electric sander.

Yes - chalk paint will adhere to laminate (I've painted it many times) - it may take 3-4 coats - lightly painted.
yep ive done it and it works great!! I had to do 3 layers on my project but it'll vary depending on how thick you lay it on and the color you use. Good luck!!
