What Would You Do With Them?

Jo Ann Miller on Mar 21, 2014Maybe on each side of your front door. Or incorporate them in the bathroom by the tub. They don't look too bad to me and a little cleaning and paint would do wonders. Let us know what you decide (with pics).Helpful Reply

Hope Urbanikmcgraw on Mar 23, 2014I love the idea to put them in your bathroom near a tub. That would require having one of those absolutely huge bathrooms or they would always be in the way. If they are as bottom heavy as they look they would easily hold your towel until you stepped out of the tub. But then I changed my mind because most of us have to dream of a bathroom like that and my next thought was of height for the garden. I could see an amazing paint job full of an array of primary and bold colors. they would then need many layers of a clear coating to keep them that way. These would add color and interest to the garden all year around.Helpful Reply

Juls Twombley on Mar 23, 2014If you do repaint them, I would antique them to bring out the beautiful detail on the top and bottom; I don't know the design of your home, however, if like most of us it's a mix of boho, eclectic, french shabby chic, then I would consider using them as false legs under a kitchen island (you didnt mention what they were made of but you said indoor use only so make sure you seal the heck out of them no matter what or where you use them; another place might be on either side of a larger window if you have one, or a window seat; if you have a covered porch they could be a 3 season entryway addition but I would be sure you sealed them with enamel paint versus acrylic; don't forget the post "after pix" :-)Helpful Reply
