Hi there, the key to a hard paint job that won't chip is good prep work before hand. Remove all of the paint that's there with a paint stripper and sand down the surface completely before using an oil based primer and then an oil based paint. I find the oil based are a lot tougher then the acrylics.

Good luck!
I agree with โGrandmasHouse DIY. If you didnโt prep properly, you will have peeling/chipping. Just sand and repaint area.
I think Ace Hardware has a paint specifically for cabinets.
You should sand them well then the paint will stick.
Thanks everyone, I guess I was trying the easy way out and now
see it was a big mistake.
You will probably need to paint them again, and after painting, put 2 to 3 coats of polyurethane on them.
