Looking to change the color of my brick fireplace to maroon color.
Right now the brick is rather a sandy peachy color. I have maroon doors and drapes and pillows. Would like to tie it all together. Not to paint all the brick, just give it a maroon tone with dark highlights.
Hello Kathleen. Since you don’t want to paint the brick and just want to add a hint of color, You might consider white washing your brick fireplace surround. Most people don’t realize this but you can tint your white wash any color you like so in your case tint it maroon. Good luck!

I painted my brick fireplace with the same latex paint I painted the walls with. Worked great.
Honestly I would reverse the color and lighten it instead by applying a white wash.This way you will have tint of color .
