Hi Ken! I messed up posting my question and reposted it yesterday about the sliding doors. they don't line up because the wall is old and not straight (nor is the floor flat). The left door slides perfectly, but when the right door slides into the guide of the left door (as they both slide left) it bumps into the guide. I probably should have used one big door because they both have to slide in the same direction (the closet is in the corner) and now I'm thinking of joining them from behind into one door.
You can buy interior barn door kits at Lowe's. They slide to the side rather than open and close. They don't look hard to install at all, although I haven't done one yet.
