Get the product named Wet & Forget and follow the directions on the bottle. You mix it with water in a pump sprayer to the prescribed formula, then just spray it on. No rinsing necessary, and the lichen will disappear shortly.
Wet & Forget is available at all the stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace, Costco, etc. It's safe to use, too.
I hope my answer doesn't appear twice--it seemed to disappear after I typed it.
Get a product called Wet & Forget, mix with water according to directions. Apply with an ordinary garden pump sprayer (I bought one I keep just for this purpose for about $10) and spray on the lichen. It will soon disappear.
Wet & Forget is sold in stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace, and online, too. It's safe to use. It works on algae, green stains on siding, etc.
You can purchase cleaners for fungus at the big box stores. They usually come in concentrated form and will require diluting and spraying on the roof, let stand for some time and then wash off. Check the bottle to see if it kills Lichen!
