Hi Kathleen. The very best way IMHO to do what you want is to buy one of those photo display picture frames. My DD gave us one and I absolutely loved it till it went on the fritz. I did a display that you maybe also could do but it is a lot of work, esp if you want to include 13 individuals! I only used pics of my two grandkids. A relative who was just 90 has a daughter who made her a book out of pictures of not only the honoree but also many family members. However this would be an expensive project, (also a time consuming one) if you wanted more than one.
Hi Kathleen. I did these with my son's high school grad party. Purchased very large paper mache letters that spelled out his first name (you could use your last name), painted the letters black and then I cut out diffent pics throughout the years in shapes to cover the letters. I used clear modpodge to make them stick.
Kathleen, For my uncles funeral we wanted to make a collage picture. First, to avoid destroying precious family photos we made copies of all the photos we wanted to use and used the copies not the originals. I picked out facial pictures throughout the years using pictures from childhood thru adulthood, included parents, siblings etc. Then I cut out all the photo's by hand. I then layered the photos overlapping them like petals on a flower until the entire surface was covered. The result was amazing - the few blank spots can be filled with pieces of background from the photos you are using (there will not be many). Different sizes and ages of the photos you choose will make your collage unique. Ellie
