I have a solid fuel stove with a glass door too. When we replaced our glass we used high temperature adhesive. It is ideal for glass door rope. It has held our glass in for three years.
I was trying to upload a photo but I couldn't. But hopefully you find the right adhesive for your glass, it is widely available in hardware stores.
