Which ever is cheaper. I must say though that it a also depends on what down their now. If you can remove what's down their and prep floor easily then you may just want to paint floor which would be plywood and does look great. Regardless you should remove what's down their on your floor it will make future project easier. If currently you have 12×12" sticky tiles, and they have shifted you will notice this on the tile you lay down or floor you lay down because of the little crack. So you will need to fill it in,also when do you expect to be able to replace with new stuff. If within a year leave it alone, save money towards new flooring. If much longer then how about floor planks that are vinyl? They are thicker you don't have to fill in any cracks because they song show through and look like actual wood floors. Regardless as I first stated go with the cheapest one that you love if you won't be replacing within a year.
