I wouldn't go that route because in order to get the look you want you need to use similar items,could you stick with a sofa and two chairs? You actually gain seating since no one sits in that little wedge.

If this is for a family room I would suggest one that has a slipcover option. That way you will get the relaxed style of farmhouse. If you are building your room around a TV and need the L shaped layout because of doorways and windows it can be very efficient.
