I have a cherry headboard with about a 8" round slight dull spot that doesn't shine up as it should. Any suggestions?

may depend on what caused the dull spot ... is it where someone rests their head every night? could be a build up of body oils - oil removes oil -- I'd try a bit of olive oil on a soft light colored cloth and see if that removes any discoloration ---

I wonder if it’s from hair care products like hairspray? If the film cannot be removed and dullness has penetrated into the finish it may be necessary to be sanded and refinished.

      Certainly its a possibility.

My daughter did somethng to cause foot prints on a varnished cherry bed, possibly a body lotion? I could not remove the cloudy disfigurement in the finish. Truly she made her “imprint” on that inherited family piece of furniture.

Will this work on a leather chair?!?
