Half the mustache fell off my 3’ nutcracker. How can I repair it? Nutcracker is made of some type of fibrous material, not plastic, not wood.
I am not sure about this - but you may be able to find a clear contact type product that you could adhere to the cracked plastic so it would hold that is still there in place. If you want to replace the plastic I would suggest talking to a store that specifically carries plastics. In my area, I would go to Tap Plastic - don’t know if you have a store like that near you. There are also people or companies that will rework lamp shades - I have not used them because they can be expensive, but may be worth it if you are going to keep the lamp.
Not to be simplistic, but what about parchment paper? It’s opaque, heat resistant And flexible. Perhaps hot glue to the frame. Just a thought!
Buy a new one, it will keep breaking, had the same problem on several lamps so I don't buy lampshades anymore with plastic liners. Goodwill here gets lots of new lampshades, and St. Vinnies gets new Pottery Barn shades.
You’re very welcome. Hope it works great
It is a wonderful lamp - I hope you are keeping it.
looks square with flat panels or does it curved and one piece. You could purchase a stretch fabric and glue it on if it is curved. Flat panels could be replaced with a solid light weight plastic from a craft store . Again depending how like a cooking mat.
