An easy way to paint a dinner table like gray wood?

Strip the table with citristrip,white wash it for that effect, seal with a non-yellowing polycrylic

Paint it again to suit, then coat your table with a clear lacquer finish. At least 3 times if this table is used daily, maybe as many as 7 coats. Just follow the directions on the can. You won’t need to redo until you want to change the colour again.

A wax will work too. Just need to reapply every so often.
