I do, but depends of the rest of adjacent rooms in your home...it is a lovely color that can be accented by white or bright colors...
I have white now, but need a change. Kitchen is almost demo'd, contractor wants to know what color do I want. Gray, grey or grey. I think dark grey on bottom cabs, and light grey on upper cabs, huh???
I have a neighbor that flips houses on the side, and he put in dark grey cabinets and painted a lot of the house dark grey. The person who bought it turned it into a rent house and it has been up for rent for almost six months already with no takers yet, and this is a town where houses usually sell within a couple of days or even before the signs go up.
Wood, laminate? The material makes a huge difference as does the color of the walls and floor. Flat, chalk, glossy -- the finish will also impact the final product. If the choice is wood, you can always change the color later. Keep in mind it is easier to change from lighter to darker than the other way around. If all else fails get some color swatches, tape them on the walls and look at them for a couple of days.
I would put in Oak cabinets top & bottom, I think that is what they would prefer, this would keep the kitchen light and airy since your kitchen is
demoed I would put oak flooring that is waterproof on the kitchen floor that would make it easy to work in. Hope this helps Kathy
I love the dark gray look. I worry that I don't have enough natural light in my kitchen to keep it from looking too dark. I have dark gray in my bathroom on the cabinets and I love it.
Well it isn't my house so if you want to know whether I would consider it, I would, but only for lower cabinets or for a kitchen island and this is why. It's a trend. I can live with it on the bottom because it won't be in my face ,literally. But I would never do the upper cabinets in grey because I would see them every time I walked into the kitchen and once I grow tired of it I would have to either paint them or have someone paint them and that's just not something I would want to do. That's just my preference.
