Add a water softner to the house.

Turn off the water and drain the toilet. Clean - one more time - with the stone, wipe clean and let dry. Use a car paste wax (not the liquid kind) and wax the bowl. Let dry. Then fill. You'll have to redo but as long as you don't use harsh chemicals, it should last longer than a few days. Good luck.

I throw about half a gallon of hot water with small cup of baking soda and a little dishwashing soap in the toilet bowl twice or once a week it keeps it shiny no scrubbing needed

I have the same problem plus it is well water. I found acidic cleaner at Gordons where commercial staff buy bulk although this was just a bottle. I under stand home stores also carry it. I poured some in let it sit and swished it away, something I had not been able to do with any other cleaner

Sounds weird, but works- pour in some lemon kool-aide drink mix, the kind without sugar, and let it sit a few hours. It should greatly reduce if not eliminate the ring.

Sounds weird but works- add a packet of lemon flavored koo-aide drink mix, the kind without the syear, and let sit a few hours. Should greatly reduce the buildup and scrub off pretty easily.
