Courtney, working around electrical can be done, but you do need to be careful. Shut the power off to the house and remove that section of paneling in the bathroom. You may not have to cut into anything as the paneling may be the wall and there's no drywall behind. If there is drywall, cut out a large section. It's easier to work with a large section where it's bulging then a small one. Take out all the insulation. Then using drywall tape and drywall mud put the drywall back in. Then put the paneling back with nails. You can do this. Just be patient with the demolition and reconstruction. Good luck.
