vinegar
Try running an empty cycle with either lemon juice or white vinegar in it.
First clean the rubber gasket at the door. Then use the hottest setting and use regular vinegar. use the rinse cycle twice. My front loader has an door opening at the bottom that leads to a short hose that requires emptying every few months.
Do you run it on the "clean" cycle every month? And lift the wide gasket around the inside of the tub and clean under that!
I love the large size of my front loader, but that is about all I like about it!
ADD ONE CUP OF BICARBONATE OF SODA IN THE DISPENSER-FILL UR MACHINE WITH WARM WATER- AND LET IT STAND OVERNITE,THEN IN MORNING CYCLE WASH TRU-BUT DONOT RINSE MACHINE AFTER WASH CYCLE ,JUST LET WATER OUT -IT SHOULD BE CLEAN-ALWAYS STAND DOOR OPEN OF MACHINE AFTER ALL WASHES SO MACHINE CAN AIR DRY -IT IS PROBABLY A BUILD UP OF MILDEW IN MACHINE PARTS-REGULARLY RUN THRU A CYCLE WITH BICARBONATE OF SODA-ONCE EVERY 2 WEEKS OR SO
hi I agree with the vinegar also bicarbonate of soda, I read this somewhere, it could have been on here or pinterest. Hope it works for you.
Mix some diluted bleach with baking soda...about 32 oz of the mixture in on the washers small load cycle. Then, run a cycle with water only. Or, you could buy a new washer and use the old one to mix concrete.
I put white vinegar in the fabric softener dispencer every load and dont get that smell but I still run a clean washer cycle every two months or so, I also leave doir and drawer open for a couple hours after washing a load. I make my own laundry soap.
Look through your manual. There is a section that tells you that process. If you have lost your manual, call the dealer. It is very simple, but depends on your model. Mine has a hole to pour cleanser and clean it. It is about 5-6 years old. I have never had to use it so I refer you to your manual.
run it with backing soda and make sure when not in use doors are open so it can all dry
