you may have a leak under there. Check for wetness. I had as similar problem, fixed the leak and place a hairdryer underneath to dry out any wetness. Used the dryer for one hour a day for a few days. Then when it was completely dry, I put sticky lining paper.
First thing to check is your garbage disposal. You might pour some bleach down the sink drain. If that isn't the problem take everything out from under the sink and see if there is a leak. Clean out with a vinegar solution. Let it dry and replace items under sink.
Forgot to add that if you have a rubber flange that keeps stuff from being thrown up when the garbage disposal is on that could be your problem. They need to be cleaned off or slimy smelly stuff grows on them.
You MUST fix the leak... or the problem will continue. Then add a small bag of open charcoal.
You could get some of this stuff called DampRid. Place it under your sink. It’s supposed to absorb odor. Maybe this will work for you. You can order it online or get it at target or Walmart.

Yes thank you
If you cannot see mold inside the cabinet... then the musty smell may be coming from a leak behind the cabinet or in the wall.... locate the source of the musty smell... remove everything from inside the cabinet... run a fan in the cabinet for at least a day... then check again for slow leaks... Find the leak, fix the leak, and let the cabinet dry out... treat with a anti-mold/mildew product if needed.
