Go to the Search box above and type in Headboard. There’s a good chance someone’s explained what you need.
Are you looking for headboard ideas or what to use in place of a headboard? Please be more specific so we can help you.
I'm going to just address this as if you want some ideas for a headboard. You can use a door depending on size of bed and door and paint it whatever color you want. If you find a door that someone is throwing out due to a remodel more the better cause its free. If you like a weathered look you may find one in a pile of junk someone is ripping out of an old home. You can also try to mimic look with paint. Also think about filling in panels if they are recessed with foam covered in fabric and attaching it with velcro. You can build one out of plywood that you can also cover with foam batting and fabric and if your really good you can make it tufted. People have used pallet wood to get a more weathered look since they tend to be left out and age nicely. I suppose if you found part of an iron railing going straight across you could attach it to wooden post for your own unique bed. Each idea you will need to add post to attach it to your bed frame with screws. Pretty much if it's the correct length you can make it into a head borad. I say correct length you may say width doesn't matter as long as it's size of frame so it can be cut down as well to fit headboard so you can attach to frame. Think of it like those baby cribs that convert to a full size bed by using the one side as a headboard the other as the foot board. In fact if that's the size of bed you have check out thrift stores or Craigslistfor one and use that although not much did in that.
