You can probably find the hardware at home improvement stores like Home Depot, or even Fleet Farm.
You certainly can use cedar for an outside door, remember that it will weather, so if you want to preserve it you will need to seal it with a polymer. You should be able to purchase "barn door" hardware at any farm and ranch supplier.
no. We put cedar on a whole house in Texas City and did not "seal" it in 1970. (1900 sq. ft.) It turned a very pretty, natural grey and is still on the house.
You can seal only the outside to protect it from the weather, then the inside will still have the cedar smell.
