last time I’d did that I used a mix of candle wax and crayons. The crayons added color, the wax burns better but is softer. When I used just the crayons meh..more like a chunky crayons. Do get hardening chips to add to the wax, and there are scent chips as well. You can use a double boiler to melt the wax, line the top pan with foil. Are you doing candles by molds, or dipping them? If you are using a mold, there is a spray to spray the mold with that makes it much easier to get the candle out. Have fun you can put ice cubes in a tall pillar type mold. Then pour the hot wax over them. For that project, a slim taper type candle as the wick.
you can do container candles using mugs, cups, glasses..ones so stained you wouldn’t want them to drink out of.
Great idea! I do have containers and mugs that are really stained.
Just about any thing can be a mold...cups, glasses, foil lined small boxes. If you bbq make yourself some fire starters....left over wax in the egg cups of a paper cardboard egg cartons. Cut apart the egg cups, when going to use, light the paper part
You can also mix the wax with sawdust, ad the wick in the middle.
A mold can be just about any thing. Line it with the no stick foil. Or spray Pam etc in it.
