How do I repurpose a large stained glass window?
You could add an embellishment along the hem line to hide it, like a thick ribbon or trim or rope.
I am thinking you could take out the hems and margins and turn the to the new "back side" -- wipe stitch or use fabric glue, maybe. Or you can paint them (the hem and margins) Try an inconspicuous place first -- Annie Sloan (or similar chalk paint) works great on fabric (if you want it to not feel like paint, sand between layers of paint) Or use some coordinating "cheerful" fabric to match the other decor and glue over these areas. You can pull the ironing board close to the window to work on the bottom and lower edges -- that would make it easier no matter which way you go! Good Luck! Will enjoy seeing what others suggest!
Cover all or partially with wide ribbon. Hot glue or spray glue in place.
