Practice on a very smooth, large-ish scrap piece of wood, painted like the wall. First work with it laying flat, then try it vertical. Use good stencil tape or adhesive to hold the pattern gently in place & for easy moving later. Use proper stenciling brush, verrrry little paint (nearly dry) & "pounce" technique. Google wall stenciling & watch You Tube videos, and/or ask for help at your paint and craft supply store. There's usually someone eager to help you learn the basics. Good luck!
have a steady hand and use good tape... practice first
Practice loading your brush and applying the paint Evenly.
Its tricky to get the perfect application.
Hi Alice, I agree that you should do a little practice first. When you feel ready to move on, go slow and remember that it's just paint and you can start over if you need to. Use a steady hand and pounce away. You can even come back over it and do some highlighting with another color. Best wishes and good thoughts.
