Your Veterinarian would really be the one to ask.... and if you don't like the answers you get.... consult a different one.... it could be that the cat is being re-infected.... check the other pets.... tape worm can be transmitted to humans too.
tape worms are caused by fleas which are the hosts - you cat needs to be treated with a monthly flea med (I get mine at Sam's club) and then use these ideas to help
