There are several tapes that will stick to wet surfaces.
I would recommend you put tape over the hole. Then lay strips of tape a little longer going in all the other directions...i.e. think of a clock...first tape 12 to 6; second layer 3 to 9; third layer 2 to 7; and the other one 4 to 11...hey, it is worth a try!
If this does not work, then try a cold patch made for bicycle tire tubes...they are made to hold in air and are still made.
