I think woven wood Shades would look good. Tat way you could use them rolled up or down.
What about a book case on rollers? You could hang art on the side without shelves. You could also store other things on the shelves besides books like bowls etc.
Be careful adding anything that might create problems with the landlords. I like the curtain idea because it is less permanent than a door.
A decorative folding screen would work nicely or maybe a large piece of furniture like a Hutch cabinet would provide storage and a “Wall” at the same time.
😊
The first idea that came to me is to put up a set of swinging doors; the type you see on the saloon in the old westerns.
Hi Carroll,
I like Kim's idea of a folding screen. If you used something like that, it wouldn't take up a lot of room and could add to your decor. Then if you had a lot of people visiting for any kind of gathering, you could fold it up and hide it in your bedroom if you wanted the extra space. Wishing you the best.
Need think about light (will putting up something block from one side or the other). My 1st thought was the old "hippy" bead curtains suspended from a expansion rod.
Hey Carroll. Folding doors connected together are great, like folding closet doors, etc.. You can use these attached to the wall, folded out and folded back if you choose to. These can be found at used stores, goodwill and places like these if you want to shop for cheaper ones. Standing, foldable room dividers are good also.
