My kitchen cabinets are embarrassingly greasy. Please share your degreasing tips with me so I don't have to cringe every time I glance at my cabinets.
Check your plumbing. That doesn't make sense. That's gross. Unless someone's messing in there on the floor and you don't know it. Dog? Cat? Husband? Either way.....eww
Don't mind the eww and gross comments. :) We all deal with life and there no need to take a childish comment like that.
#1 (if it is kid related) I had two little boys at once and somehow they managed to pee and have it go "under" the back part where the lid screws go in and eventually build up. I would recommend taking the whole seat lid off and giving a good scrub. Then draw a target in the toilet or buy one, it helps!
#2 If someone has laid linoleum down over top of old tiles or other linoleum, some urine could have seeped down in between the layers. You may have to pull it all up and place a new floor, or go back to the original by removing the top layer someone has added. If you go this route and have to remove the toilet, be sure to get a new wax seal.
#3 The wax seal between the toilet and the pipe. This can wear down after years of service and need to be replaced.
Hope these ideas help!

May need to scrub where the toilet and linoleum meet extra good.
Check the area around the toilet to see if your wax ring has leaked-you'll see moisture outside of the toilet on the floor. A suggestion if you are suspecting leakage is to place paper towels around the base of the toilet (lay them flat, not bunched up) and see if anything seeps out and wets them. That will give you a clue if you have a leak or not.
If you have a wooden floor, it may have soaked into that, if not wood, I would clean the area around the toilet very well, be sure to look for areas that maybe in layers, they may have areas where urine has soaked into, for that, remove and replace.
If the above shows no leak, then there is a good possibility someone does not have the necessary bladder control and should see a doctor if an adult, if a child, then accidents do happen with going to the bathroom.
