We just moved to a new home on a lake and want to build an outdoor shower. Looking for unique ideas for the cutian/surround.

Why not go with the industrial look and use plumbing pipe connected to your decking and then put up curtains when you go to the lake...take them down to take home when they need to be washed. You could actually put grommets in canvas painting cloths for durability.

This could easily be done with pipe brackets and 90 degree elbows.

We cut down some small saplings and it opened up our view from the neighbors to my back deck/porch. We are going to use this technique to get privacy.

Thank you! Always have loved the industrial look.

    Congratulations on your new home.

You can get bamboo or reed fencing which can be curved and is not terribly heavy, but very attractive, especially to a lake setting. No painting needed either.

Keeping it raised off the ground discourages mildew, and as they are not “solid” fresh air will be able to get thru and still maintain privacy.

Depending on how you install it, it could even be stored for the winter.

Thank you so much! I would have never thought of using bamboo.

I like the thought of being able to take it down in the winter and it for sure would blend in with the surroundings.

    My thought exactly. Enjoy
