You didn’t mention the area but if it’s Anything other than Wood flooring, mix up a spray bottle of 3/4 White Vinegar, 1/4 distilled water and 2-3 drops of Dawn. Gentley mix. Test an inconspicuous spot to insure your flooring won’t discolor 1st( mine never has). Then...spray your mix onto the problem areas. Allow to set for 5-10 minuets, then using a white cotton “bar towel”, or whatever you have and gently blot the areas. I usually put a small fan by the areas to quickly dry the areas. Repeat as nece. This will also remove any staining from pet “accidents“ and dogs generally won’t go back to that spot because of the scent of the Vinegar, but You won’t smell it! Just a clean fresh scent!
i have had dogs for over forty years with numerous puppy house training. The very best product I have found is Get Serious which can be ordered on line. A groomer friend recommended this product After she had tried several. I highly recommend it.
I am assuming your pet left spots on carpet. Clean, clean, clean with a carpet cleaner and if you need to the attachment for upholstery if you need to get close to the wall and along trim. You can buy carpet shampoo made for pet odors. Luckily for you-- Yorkies leave small spots but if they have used the same areas for long lengths of time that smell may just linger because it has gone through the carpet pad into the wood of the subfloor or into the wood of the trim.
