My bathroom countertop is tile, done in a yellow and lime green ughh. I can't afford to redo them so I'm hoping that painting them is possible.

There are special epoxy paints for tile and tubs but they are a lot of work.

I used spray appliance epoxy on my chocolate brown cultured marble counter. I sprayed patches of biscuit and bright white and used crumpled plastic grocery bags to dab it to give a faux stone look.

You have to clean and sand it first but you can paint away those swinging 70s colors.

Try a textured stone effects spray paint.

Would it be possible, to overlay the tiles with some sort of water resistant finish. I had my bathroom re-surfaced by a professional company - wall tiles, the bath. Not 100% happy because you, even with a professional company, can get pin holes - ie tiny wee little holes in the resurfaced paint. I think a visit to the local hardware, renovation section, would be a good idea, initially. Pick their 'brains' and see what they can come up with for your situation. Also, take a photo/s with you so they can see what you are actually talking about. After all, a picture is a 'thousand' words'!! I guess it all depends on the area you want treated. And how much wear and tear it receives.
