My swing - how can I get paint off naturally?
I have a swing that has wood seat - that has been painted - is peeling though - looks rough. I need to take that paint off - naturally with OUT chemicals. I won't use paint stripper - don't do well with strong chemicals. I want my swing to look great again! Suggestions? Thanks

Sandpaper is your answer. Use a gritty one to start (to get the big pieces off) followed by a finer grain sandpaper. Keep sanding with finer and finer paper until you are happy with the finish.
you might try PineSol. I've used it in the past to strip paint off metal cabinet handles. Immerse in straight out of bottle, cover and wait a while, should see it wrinkling.
(of course everything is a chemical)
Hi. Use any power sander and remove all the paint. Start off with a heavy grit and then go to a smoother grit to make the swing smooth. Once you're down to bare wood, you can decide if you want to just seal it or re-paint. Happy DIY'ing!
RE: sander. A small palm sander - which is all you need - sells for around $15.00. It can be used for all sorts of projects going forward.
