How do I redo my older brassy chandelier? ?
Hi! I have an old brassy chandelier in my dining room...and it's ugly and outdated...lol. I was wondering how I can change it from old and brassy to new and sassy! Mine is just like the pic attached...but I have glass vase like covers that cover the lights. Can you please help me with a fun/easy/and inexpensive diy? Thank you in advance!!...~Kellie

Get Rustoliem spray paint. In comes in metallic colors. I love the oil rubbed bronze one. I did my kitchen fixture, that was brass.
it costs about $6 a can. Walmart/Home Depot/Lowe’s
Take it completely apart. Clean and remove all traces of dust. Spray all parts except candle stems with a metallic spray paint (I personally like the less shiny nickel finish) and reassemble. You may consider dark lampshades to cover the flame bulbs for a totally different look 😊
Yellow metals are back in style. Gold and brass and paler "champagne". Before changing the color, check pinterest for current gold chandelier trends. Look at the lines not just the color. Can you retrofit a drum shade around yours? Ornate chandeliers are very current and popular done this way.
I cleaned mine really well, then applied Rustoleum Auto primer in the spray can. When that was dry, i sanded it down ever so lightly, then sprayed Rustoleum oil rubbed bronze. I love the look. I also sprayed some of the overhead lights in the bathroom and hallway, looks great
