What can I do with glass jars?
I have a lot of nice clean glass jars from peanut butter and tomato sauce that I been collecting.
I want to do something useful but I do not what.

I have a bunch of extra lids from pots and pans I no longer have. Do you have any suggestions as to what to do with them? They are glass lids.

They are perfect for storing craft supplies like buttons, beads, small scrapbooking items, pencils, hardware like screws, nails, washers. I'm with you on the idea of not recycling or throwing them in the trash, would rather reuse them. You could use chalk paint and label each jar. Do you bake? If so then the bigger jars would be good for storing extra flour, sugar, baking soda, etc.
I use a lot of recycled glass bottles to hold craft supplies. I remove the labels then add chalkboard labels available in the craft store.
I saved pasta jars and use them to store bulk spices that come in plastic containers. Now they stay air tight and look good with the new lables.
