No. You can choose a color that comments other colors you are using.
No it does need to match. But it should compliment the house and shutter colors. What color is the house? Any trim work?

Debra, they don't have to match. If you need some ideas, go to your paint store..... Home Depot and Lowes are good. They have paint cards that have color combinations on them. They're with the exterior paint. Combinations like "Natural", "Patriotic, etc. HGTV's website has a lot of ideas. Good luck.
