I want to decorate with dried lotus seeds. I want them to look like porcelain. Any ideas of kind of paint and how to?

Hi Pennie. I’ve never tried this idea but if it works it will be really beautiful. I would suggest a high gloss enamel spray paint. I would suggest very thin coats. Maybe rustoleum...?
Good luck. I’d love to see the results.
I think you want a opalescent paint, which you can probably find in a craft store like Michaels. I'd suggest giving the pods a base coat with a white spray paint and then using a brush to paint on the opal/pearl like paint. Once you have them looking like you want them to look, and they've dried completely, be sure to spray a clear high gloss sealer over them; do several light coats.
This really sounds like it could be a beautiful project! Please post when you've done it!
Any paint would work, spray gloss enamel, or any other white paint topped with a high gloss spray of clear coat.
