How to whiten bathtub ?
My daughters apartment has a tub that she can’t get clean. The problem I believe is the condensation from the A/C drips into the tub so it’s always getting wet. She’s tried baking soda, erasers, numerous commercial cleaners. Any suggestions appreciated.

Recently helped a friend with a tub that looked similar when he was moving out of an apartment (so he could get deposit back). The real problem was that the glaze of the tub was shot and the surface was now porous. Thus, anything that got on it tended to discolor it. I tried many different things and finally, out of desperation, painted the whole thing with thickened bleach (it was right near the regular bleach at Walmart and was just a little thicker - like a thin syrup instead of like water). Within a few minutes, the stains disappeared.
Fair warning, though. If the glazing on the tub is shot, the bleach will work over and over, but the tub will easily get discolored in between bleaching sessions (especially with a air conditioner dripping into it). If the glazing is bad, you really need to reglaze the tub, which is a really big project to tackle that also involves not being able to use the tub for something like a week.

What material is the tub?
Try Easy Off No Fume Oven Cleaner in the BLUE can. Works on enamel, porcelain, and fiberglass.
Perhaps you can repaint it.
Bar keepers friend works wonders on anything porcelain!
I bought the bleach from Mexico they sell at Dollar General. It's like 3X stronger. After spraying it down in spraying bottle after several attempts it did get clean. I had to do @ 6X. I also used cleaning vinegar & @ i/3 blue Dawn & let it sit for an hour. I let both sit on it. Tub always looked dirty after cleaning now it's like new
Barkeepers friend is the best. Also tell her to buy a broom to scrub the tub on a regular basis with some blue dawn.
