How to paint a floor?
Over the years the flooring in our mobile home has warped and finding a floor covering can be extremely expensive. Has anyone painted a floor and is it worth trying to do?

I've painted over plywood sub floors several times in the past with great success. I used a good tinted primer as my base coat, then used acrylics to paint designs, like oriental rugs, and tiles. They held up very well while I saved up for "real" flooring.
I've painted old wooden floors and plywood floors as well. Primer is definitely a must, and for me a sealer is a must too. I use Benjamin Moore Stays Clear urethane because it doesn't yellow over time. To see a faux rag rug that I painted in my hallway over an old wooden floor that I also painted you can check it out here.

We have painted our concrete floor with concrete floor paint and it's great stuff! You can find it at the local hardware store, it comes in a variety of colors, and it makes floor clean up easy (plus it seals the floor as well).
