Hi Karen What is your question regarding cut glass?
Do you need to cut glass? Get a glass cutter from hardware store. put it between your index finger and middle finger. roll it down the sheet of glass from edge to edge. Here the snag sound. You can use the other end of the tool to tap the glass where you drew the line with the cutter. I hate that way because glass tends to break in different directions. I use running pliers to break it on the end of the glass. If you don't want to diy it, go to a glass or mirror store where they will do it for you.

The best answer depends upon the type of glass you want to cut, but if you need to cut tiles, there are tile nippers that you can get at regular hardware stores.
If you need to cut a wine bottle, for example, you can get a cutter like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Glass-Bottle-Cutter-Tool-Kit/dp/B0716K6FVX/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1539214396&sr=8-17&keywords=glass+cutter
If you need to cut glass for stained glass, you could get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Custom-grip-Supercutter-Cutter-Assorted-Colors/dp/B00D9CDIAA/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1539214570&sr=8-7&keywords=glass+cutter+stained+glass&dpID=31Gpo1UTVqL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
If you need to cut glass for one project the picture above will suffice for a cutter. If you intend to do more than that and use for projects, invest in a good one. Stained glass supply companies sell them, or purchase one online and get an oil fed one. You take off the back of the cutter and fill with cutter wheel oil. The ones you buy in a hardware store will do in a pinch but if cutting glass more often do yourself and buy a good one that requires oil and a quality wheel.
