Broken DVD Countertop, a Labor of Love
Hi Carolyn. My name is Cindy. Begin by putting your CD's in a bath towel and smashing them with a hammer. Next, glue them to your table top. Wait for the glue to dry completely (next day is ideal). Then mix your grout and spread the grout on top of the CD's using a trowel. Try to get the grout in all the nooks and crannies. Allow the grout to dry completely (again, the next day is ideal). Lastly you should remove all of the excess grout. You will need a bucket of warm water and a large sponge. Like a large car wash sponge. When the grout fills the bottom of the bucket, dump it and continue on with another bucket of warm water. Once all the excess grout is gone, shine it with a clean towel. PS. Sanded grout is for floors, and unsanded grout is for mosaics, and walls. I hope this info helps you. Best wishes.
