How can i balance heat in rooms?
I have a couple rooms where air flow is not as strong as others for heat. Should I use a deflector or completely block the vent to force air to heat? My filters are replaced frequently and appropriate rated. I dont know if their is a hazard or maybe it could compromise the furnace all together. This is a heat pump system in the attic, fairly new, I checked for seals, drafts etc.. It maybe the room & not the heat flow of furnace? Still need options within reason to make up for lack of heat..vs wearing a heavy robe. :)

Glass block windows in bathroom magnify the sun and makes room very hot. Solar screen helps but what can o do to not ruin the look, but block the heat?
you can also use cheap wooden blinds for heat control of your room or house.
One thing we do is make sure that all the doors are open in all of your rooms, this helps with airflow. If you have any ceiling fans, reverse the blades so it pushes the hot air down. Never block the vents, we were told that it actually causes the system to work harder.
Thank you. That was my concern regarding furnace functioning right.
No ceiling fan in room.
I think I would check with a heating specialist who can give you some ideas rather than blocking off vents and possibly compromising your system. It could be that these rooms are the farthest from the system and by the time the air reaches them it has cooled. You may have to add something to keep those rooms warmer.
