I need to know how to get out damp, musty smell out of clothing that has been in old house for a while. Have washed and dried with dryer sheets. It is still there, need ideas
First wash them using vinegar instead of laundry detergent. Then wash them again using laundry detergent and "Unstopables" by Downy. (Unstopables can be found in the laundry isle of most stores) This works for me to take out a multitude of nasty smells including that musty smell. I hope it works for you as well.
