Here are some great storage ideas : https://homebnc.com/best-toy-storage-ideas-that-kids-will-love/
I use those cube type storage systems and buy the cheap foldable canvas bins to hold everything. Some of the toys can sit out on the shelves for display too. Cheap hampers make great storage for balls. A behind the door shoe organizer can hold little trucks or stuffed animals. And I was surprised to discover that matchbox cars are magnetic! I had a cheap bookcase for each of my three kids. It held their books, smaller cars in the clear shoe boxes, anything that would fit in the shoe boxes stayed contained. The top could hold larger cars and trucks. For things like the million Legos that the two boys had, I had a large tote to store them in, the same for my daughters Barbie furniture, etc. Things stayed fairly organized and neat for me. My daughter kept her larger dolls and stuffed animals on her bed or in a tote in her room. I hope this helps you, Tonya!
I use lots of baskets for all my sons toys!
I would use a large IKEA cabinet that closes and keeps all the toys and trucks inside out of sight. You can put large bins inside and only take out what they are playing with at the time.
