How to treat old wood ceiling beams
I have stenciled wood beams (88yrs old) in my living rm. I had them cleaned with baby shampoo and the painted flowers came to life. But now the wood looks very dry in some spots. How can I treat the wood without damaging the stencil work?

Murphy's liquid soap for wood--next day use lemon oil--
Lemon oil. Cover the beams thickly and let the wood absorb as much as it wants for a week or so, then wipe the excess off. Lemon oil should not disturb the paint if you've already shampooed it.
