I've used RustOleum kit on plastic, fiberglass, and cast iron. Wear a respirator, vent the area as much as possible, and follow directions on the kit exactly and you should be okay.
Sandy, I've used the Rustoleum tub&tile kit, too. It's tricky. Use extremely light coats and let it dry much longer than recommended.
There are kits made specifically for tubs and tile that you can get at the hardware store or you can find a pro to do it for you.
