Is it frayed, dry rotted or only tangled?
If it is frayed or dry rotted you need to restring it, it is not hard on most as they have all the holes predrilled. Just watch how it is, as Some are with Big Holes that require Double Knots in the Draw Strings, some, have no holes atall like Bamboo Draw Shades have only 2 eye hooks and you tie a knot on each.
If it is tangled, you need to only detangle it.
