    Hi John,

Is the sewer pipe jutting out in just 1 spot or is it how many feet long in your yard? Need a little more info so we can help you.

Put gravel or dirt over it. You may be able to grow grass over it. Plant a bush to camo. it.

Planting bushes and flowers or adding rocks near the pipe is a solution. I'm assuming this is your sewer clean out stub. You need to be able to open the cap if the pipe gets clogged by someone flushing something down the toilet or if tree roots are blocking the pipe.

Flower boxes, pots, potted bushes. Whatever you decide on you need to be able to have easy access to this pipe. You could build an unanchored box around it from trellis and add bushes around that. It looks like a sewer standpipe, equalizes pressure in the line to prevent backups.

    John,

It looks like your septic system vent pipe. They make all kinds of crazy covers if you don't mind spending a lot of money. Check what's available online and make an inexpensive copy of one you like. We just spray painted ours. My mother bought a wishing well lawn ornament at a yard sale, cut out the bottom, put it over the pipe, and planted flowers around it.

    John,

We have the same thing out in the country where we live. Believe it or not I spray painted it with different camo colors and now it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I wouldn't recommend planting a bush as digging the deeper hole could mess up the "plumbing" below.
