not too long, vinegar will dry out your rubber fittings!
About 15 minutes.
I read 15 minutes to half hour. .no longer. .May cause damage. .Merry Christmas.
Clean the entire toilet. Fill a spray bottle with full strength vinegar. Spray the substance on your toilet's interior and exterior surfaces, and scrub vigorously to remove debris. Add 3 cups of vinegar to your toilet's tank and let stand for 30 minutes, then flush to deodorize your toilet. The diluted vinegar will not damage your fitting with the amount of water in the tank.
Hi Willow,
My name is Linda and I remember recently reading a post from another Hometalk member who used vinegar in her toilet take. She said to leave it there while you clean but didn't give an exact amount of time. I would agree with Betty & Em that 30 mins would be the maximum amout of time. Here's the posts from a Hometalk member. Have fun!
