Hi Pamela! The advice I was given for slowing down the tarnishing process is to keep silver out of the sun. So storing it in a jewelry box without any windows should at least help a bit. When it comes to temperature and humidity, maybe keeping it in a cool, dry room of the house (basement, cold cellar) would work?
You need to store it in silver bags designed for this purpose. Place anti dessicant pouches in the drawers to absorb moisture.

Hi Pamela - This is the most effective and all-natural silver cleaning and polishing method that we use. It's also been featured by Hometalk. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Keep your silver in plastic zip loc bags. It is the air that is the problem. There are anti tarnish cloths and bags, but you still need to keep it sealed up. Plastic pill bottles are good to use as well. Keep all your little silica packs and put them in with your silver.
Hi Pamela I had the same question and found this link for you and me :)

Thanks for passing this info. on!
I found some helpful information on properly storing silver jewelry on this link. Really helpful. https://www.theirishjewelrycompany.com/faqs/
Hey Pamela - this is a typical problem with Silver Jewelry. Moisture, humidity natural skin oils and cosmetics contribute a lot to this. Best approach is to just have a silver polishing cloth or something similar and it usually cleans it right up. You'll find some really helpful info here: https://www.irishjewelrycraft.com/guides/jewelry-knowledge/why-sterling-silver-turns-black-or-green
Jewelry stores will have those cloths available to buy or even some large general stores. Hope this helps.
